# Chat

Lands has private chat channels for land and nation members.

## Land Chat

Use `/lands chat` to turn land chat mode on or off.

When land chat mode is on, normal chat messages are sent to your current edit land instead of global chat.

You can also send one message without changing your chat mode with `/lands chat <message>`.

If you are trusted in multiple lands, you can send a message to a specific land with `/lands chat <land> <message>`.

## Nation Chat

Use `/nations chat` to turn nation chat mode on or off.

When nation chat mode is on, normal chat messages are sent to the nation of your current edit land.

You can also send one message without changing your chat mode with `/nations chat <message>`.

If you are part of multiple nations through different lands, you can send a message to a specific nation with `/nations chat <nation> <message>`.
