# Roles and Role Flags

The roles and their flags can be edited in the `roles.yml` file. These flags can't be toggled in game. Setting which role a specific player has on a farm is handled by ChestProtect, not BetterFarming - see [Trust and Roles](https://github.com/IncrediblePlugins/Wiki/tree/betterfarming/players/Trust-and-Roles.md).

* **BLOCK\_BREAK**\
  Allow a role to break non-harvestable blocks inside a farm.\
  *Toggle permission: betterfarming.role.setting.block\_break*\
  *Bypass permission: betterfarming.bypass.block\_break*
* **BLOCK\_PLACE**\
  Allow a role to place non-harvestable blocks inside a farm. Placement checks use `PLANT` instead for harvestable blocks.\

  *Bypass permission: betterfarming.bypass.block\_place*
* **HARVEST**\
  Allow a role to harvest crops.\
  *Toggle permission: betterfarming.role.setting.harvest*\

* **PLANT**\
  Allow a role to plant crops and saplings.\
  *Toggle permission: betterfarming.role.setting.plant*\
  *Bypass permission: betterfarming.bypass.plant*
* **INTERACT**\
  Allow a role to interact with farm-area blocks and open farm storage by right-clicking the farm.\

* **UPGRADE**\
  Allow a role to open the main farm menu and upgrade the farm.\

* **DELETE**\
  Allow a role to delete the farm.\
  *Toggle permission: betterfarming.role.setting.delete*\

* **CONFIGURE**\
  Allow a role to toggle settings of the farm.\
